Walkway changes at Paradise & Victoria Square from 28 July 2019
Posted on: 24/07/19
A pedestrian diversion will be in place through Paradise Birmingham over the coming months so the Phase One paving and public realm works around the development can be completed.
This will also help the work to refurbish Chamberlain Square and Centenary Way to be completed by the end of this year.
Starting on 28 July and running until 28 October 2019, the diversion will guide people from Victoria Square to Centenary Square via Edmund Street and Eden Place.
During the diversion period all businesses and destinations will remain open as usual. This includes Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, whose main entrance and Gas Hall entrance will both remain in normal use.
The diversion will be fully signed on site, including the use of maps, and updates will be posted on social media and through bodies like Birmingham Connected.
At almost 2 million square feet, Paradise Birmingham will deliver up to ten new flagship buildings, offering offices, shops, bars, cafés, restaurants and a four star hotel across 17 acres in the heart of the city.
A website showcasing the vision for Paradise, in addition to a live time-lapse camera and all the latest news about the development, can be viewed at www.paradisebirmingham.co.uk
