Smallbrook Queensway carriageway works

The works on Smallbrook Queensway include carriageway surfacing, installing traffic loops and antiskid panels. This work is due to be carried out in 4 phases along New Street Station to Holloway Circus.

It will take place on 18th February until 15th March 2018. Works will be undertaken during off peak times from 9pm to 6am on Sunday and Thursdays only to reduce disruption to traffic and inconveniencing pedestrians.

The dates and times of the works taking place on Smallbrook Queensway are as follows;

Phase 1 – Holloway Circus to New Street Station

Carriageway surfacing and lining

Week commencing – Sunday 18/2/18 for 5 nights to Thursday 22/2/18

2100hrs to 0600hrs for five nights

Phase 2 – New Street Station to Holloway circus

Carriageway surfacing and lining

Week commencing – Sunday 25/2/18 for 5 nights to Thursday 1/3/18

2100hrs to 0600hrs for five nights

Phase 3 – Holloway Circus to New Street Station

Traffic Loops, antiskid panels and imprint asphalt imprint panels

(Access to Hill Street maintained via Hurst Street side at junction)

Week commencing – Sunday 4/3/18 for 5 nights to Thursday 8/3/18

2100hrs to 0600hrs for five nights

Phase 4 – New Street Station to Holloway circus

Traffic Loops, antiskid panels and imprint asphalt imprint panels

Week commencing – Sunday 11/3/18 for 5 nights to Thursday 15/3/18

2100hrs to 0600hrs for five nights

Works Information – Access to and from New Street Station will be via Moor Street Queensway under the Bull Ring at all during the works periods. The exit from the other side of the station will be via Hill Street, Station Street and Dudley Street at all times as well. Holloway circus roundabout, Suffolk Street Queensway, Horse Fair and Bristol Street will be open at all times during these works.
