Road closure information for Freedom of the City parade

The Lord Mayor of Birmingham will be presenting the Royal Marines with the Freedom of the City with a ceremony in Victoria Square followed by a parade through the streets of Birmingham on Saturday 24th February.
In order to allow this commemoration to take place in a safe and secure environment, there will be a vehicle exclusion area in operation along Colmore Row between Colmore Row and Victoria Square and Waterloo Street between Victoria Square and Bennetts Hill from 9am to 2pm.
There will also be a number of temporary road closures between 11:45am-12:30pm affecting the following roads to enable the parade to take place safely.
– Cannon Street
– Cherry Street
– Colmore Row (Livery Street to Victoria Square)
– Newhall Street
– Bennetts Hill
– Waterloo Street
– Upper New Street
– Temple Street
– Temple Row
– Temple Row West
The access along Colmore Row/Colmore Circus between Livery Street and Snowhall Queensway will be one way only towards Snow Hill Queensway.
