Retail BID are working with West Midlands Combined Authority and Mayor of West Midlands to raise awareness of the alternative giving scheme for the homeless.
Change Into Action is an alternative giving scheme aimed at addressing rough sleeping across the West Midlands by supporting local specialist charities and street teams working to change the circumstances of rough sleepers.
The BID has distributed posters to all businesses in the district to display in their windows and noticeboards as well as giving leaflets to the public to help turn change into action for rough sleepers in Birmingham.
All money that is donated to Change Into Action is held by Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) and is distributed to charities on a funding application basis. Charities can apply for money for individual cases, this can be anything from help fund a bus pass to buying new warm clothes.
This scheme is a joint partnership between Birmingham City Council and the Mayor’s Homelessness Task Force.
If you would like posters or leaflets for your business please call 0121 643 3896.
