Job Vacancy: Retail BID Business Patrol Officer

Retail BID is looking to appoint an additional Business Patrol Officer to join the existing Street Operations team. The role is to help develop strong and effective relationships with BID members and partners and to deliver a safe and welcoming environment for visitors and businesses. This includes supporting members through daily patrols and visits, to assist in the reduction of crime, anti-social behaviour and the reporting and resolution of issues. The role also requires close working relationships with West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council’s Street Intervention Team.

The role is full time, working 36.5 hours per week throughout the daytime, with weekend working when required.

You will need experience of working in a city centre environment, dealing with the public and businesses, ideally within the retail sector.

Retail BID is the Business Improvement District for the retail area in Birmingham city centre. Having been established in 2007 and now in its third term until 2022, the BID supports and promotes businesses, ensuring the city centre remains a safe and pleasant place to visit and shop.
