Cyclists set to take over Birmingham roads at the HSBC UK Let’s Ride

The roads of Birmingham are set to be taken over by thousands of cyclists for the HSBC UK Let’s Ride 2018 on Sunday 10th June.
The HSBC UK Let’s Ride is a free, mass participation bicycle ride for children, young people and families, aimed at giving participants an enjoyable and safe city-centre cycling experience in a traffic free environment for one day only.
The event will take place along a 6.5km traffic free closed road linear route that runs between Edgbaston Street beside the Bullring and Edgbaston Cricket Club.
Due to the event of its size and to ensure the safety of participants and spectators, there will be a number of road closures and diversions in place.
The roads that will be closed are:
- Moat Lane
- Upper Dean Street
- Bradford Street (between Moat Lane & Barford Street)
- Barford Street (between Bradford Street & Sherlock Street)
- Sherlock Street
- Hurst Street
- Inge Street
- Essex Street
- Lower Essex Street
- Belgrave Interchange
- Pershore Road (between Belgrave Interchange & Priory Road/Edgbaston Road)
The closures will take place from 7:00 and re-open at 17:00 on Sunday 10th June.
